Krewe of Selene my sketches and ideas for Krewe of Selene. I really liked the third one, but I chose the last one because I know the pink would have stained my face lips are dark blue these stars are reminiscent of The Little Prince filled in those moon craters this side is the moon, a dark moon this side is the night sky Krewe of Bacchus sketches of the Krewe of Bacchus. I really struggled to make a design I really liked for this one. After Colleen suggested I focused more on the theatre aspect instead of the wine, it was a little easier.. purple on the tragedy side black for the mouth yellow for the comedy side one (1) blue teardrop. is it because I'm sad or in prison? Krewe of Eve I really liked designing Krewe of Eve. I was going to use this for the second makeup look, but after it was announced we were going to do each other's makeup I started panicking because I knew this one would take long and I don't...

Friendship but make it Mardi Gras For this assignment Bridget and I did each other's makeup... I had a panic attack but that's show biz baby Bridget's design was for the Muses Krewe The purple is super streaky, but the pinks came out really nice- specifically the dark pink.  I tried fixing the purple to make it less streaky, but every time I tried fixing an area, it would get worse, so sacrifices were made this pink applied very nicely. I'm a big fan of this side of her face friendship pic before I had a panic attack  My design was Krewe of Bacchus (heavy emphasis on theatre) here's me crying because people doing my makeup freaks me out the mouth isn't ideal, but it works. also shout out to my eyes for looking like 2 different colors because of the makeup around them. we love green eyes this side of my face is awesome. just look at the opacity of the yellow, the slight curve of the smile, and that purple eyeliner. wow. ...

Krewe of Selene I wanted my design to reflect the sky, so I made one side of my face the moon (in crescent form) and I made the other a starry night. In hindsight, I wish I would have done it in Van Gogh's style this is the outline of the design. I was quite hopeful this is after I painted my first section. It was at this moment I realized that the colors go on darker than they look AND that getting them to not be streaky is difficult. I chose gray to match the moon. this is the rest of the base color(s). I got better with color matching and keeping it from getting streaky. I realized that wearing my nose ring was a rookie mistake, which is why it is no longer in pictures. I picked blue to match the sky in this step I filled in my moon craters and did winged eyeliner. This one was the easiest! In this step, I filled my lips in with dark blue. Here's the tea sis, I did not poorly line my lips, they really are just *THAT* uneven. #NotBlessed I fil...

they call me boneless

For this section, we learned about the bones and muscles in our face. We had to trace several skulls and the bone structure or muscle system. In the end, we figure out where those muscles and bones were in relation to our face. Altogether really nice. I'm a big fan of bones, not so much muscles. I traced the facial bone diagram. Tracing this was harder than anticipated. Teeth are bones! Another tracing of bones!! This time featuring ears and a side view. Quite scary.... Muscle tracing...nightmare fuel... looks like ground beef 80% lean. side view isn't as scary and was easier to trace. kinda weird that there aren't muscles in the back of the skull....or maybe they just weren't included. this is my rendition of bones and muscles on my face. I now realize I messed up the nose and should have included teeth instead of lips, but that's show biz baby. the most nightmare fuel.

February 5, 2020 Triangle Pre-Paint Triangle Post- Paint (we stan p!nk) Acrylic Paint Color Wheel Pre-Paint Acrylic Paint Color Wheel Post-Paint (woof) Mehron Paint Color Wheel Pre-Paint Mehron Paint Color Wheel Post-Paint For the color theory unit, we had to make a color wheel using acrylic paints, a triangle using acrylic paints, and another color wheel using face paint. For the color wheels, we were limited to only using the primary colors (red, blue, and yellow) and mix them to make the secondary and tertiary colors. For the triangle, we were limited to using a color of our choice and black and white to create a gradient. I struggled with creating the tertiary colors because it was difficult finding the balance between the colors- the ratios weren't perfect ratios. It was definitely easier to work with one color and add black or white than it was to mix all of the primary colors.
